2011 marked 100 years of International Women’s Day and so to celebrate A Moment's Peace Theatre Company is organised:

IT’S HER BIRTHDAY

The Arches, Glasgow

Saturday 5th March 2011

6-9pm

This event was a relaxed and informal evening of performances celebrating and exploring the stories of women, with a particular focus on the the way in which the links between personal narratives and wider political themes impact women, both historically and in contemporary society.

As well as a performance from our very own Women’s Creative Company there were 12 short performances performed by mixture of professional and community artists and groups. There was theatre, dance, music, poetry and film. And of course there was cake!

Ultimately this birthday event was an opportunity for women and men from across the city to come and share some time together engaging in and celebrating arts with women at the centre.
