At A Moment’s Peace, we watch 2021 draw to a close brimming with awe at the solidarity and strength of all our community collaborators, groups and partners. 2021 saw another year of adapting to rapidly shifting landscapes, yet we take such hope from reflecting on the creative activity we explored across our Creative Action project, in particular the work we produced with our two core groups The Women’s Creative Company and Shared Space.
At A Distance Together was our creative response to the COVID-19 pandemic, a strand of the project that saw us focus on high quality At Home and Digital creative engagement for the groups to explore, eventually leading to in-person creative workshops towards the end of the year.
Whether in person, at home or online, At A Distance Together facilitated spaces of creativity, joy and support at a time that was often challenging and uncertain. We welcomed a brilliant creative team of talented individuals and collaborators to AMP this year, Access Coordinator Elena, Engagement Coordinator Mina, Associate Artist Najma, Communications Officer Julia, 8 multi-art form Guest Artists and the appointment of our new Artistic Director Kirstin McLean.
As 2021 draws to a close we recognise that so many in our community are still having to adapt to uncertain times, yet we remain inspired by the possibilities ahead and will continue to explore long term, meaningful work that celebrates and strengthens networks.
A massive thanks to the Women’s Creative Company, Shared Space, all our associates, partners, funders, team and board. As well as to you, for supporting and promoting our work!
We look forward to stepping into 2022 with you by our side!
Much love and well wishes,
All the team at AMP
