Tea and Revolution go hand in hand

For thousands of years, women have met, under the guise of social gatherings, to inspire, to organise - and to change the world.

 

In 2023, the fight for equality is  far from over. Inspired by Emmeline Pankhurst’s rallying cry “I incite this meeting to rebellion!”, we ask: What remains to be done, and how are we going to do it?

 

We Incite This Meeting is a show about storytelling in many forms, created by 10 women with strong voices, bold ideas, and a serious love of tea.

 

We Incite This Meeting… is presented by Women's Creative Company, devised by the company and directed by Kirstin McLean. It is a culmination of the Possible Worlds project funded by Creative Scotland.

Performed at Changing House, Tron Theatre on 13 and 14 September 2023.
